How do you and your partner celebrate Valentine’s Day? Before the pandemic, many couples have had Valentine’s Day traditions such as going out on fun dates or even booking dinner at a fancy restaurant. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and we are talking to the newlyweds who have recently moved in together. As newlyweds, how are you to spend Valentine’s Day during the quarantine period?

It has been a difficult year for all of us, and it is time to treat yourself and your partner to some extra loving this February. Perhaps you can add new flowers to your home garden or even install new garden room interiors to make date night more romantic.

What else can you do to make your home Valentine’s Day-ready?

Quarantine Romance: Has it changed?

Has the quarantine period affected your honeymoon phase? As newlyweds, you would want to cherish your honeymoon phase as long as you can. Since the onslaught of the pandemic, have your loving eyes changed perspectives regarding your relationship?

Being quarantined at home with your partner for a long period may have altered your habits around each other. You may have created a new daily routine such as washing the dishes together, watching TV, and working on home projects. What if this routine has gone stale?

The quarantine period is difficult for all of us, and you should not feel guilty about feeling anxious or lonely about the situation. Perhaps you and your partner can spice up your romantic life with new interiors and romantic date nights at home!

Valentine’s Day Home Celebration

Spending Valentine’s Day at home doesn’t have to be dull and boring. In fact, the quarantine period may even strengthen your relationship further. One needs to be creative with romantic home date ideas so you and your partner can have a good time. What ideas will you be trying out this year?

Purchase comfortable bedding and a nice tray to assemble the perfect breakfast in bed. Putting together your partner’s most loved breakfast food can really make them feel special. Add a good cup of coffee, and you are on your way to a good morning.

Give each other a spa day. Line your bathroom with scented candles. Perhaps you can even acquire rose petals if you are feeling extra fancy. Make it a relaxing weekend full of love and warmth. It will energize you for the work week ahead.

Change up the curtains to a deep shade of red. Bring out the wine glasses. Add fresh roses to your flower vase. A 2021 Valentine’s Day date won’t be complete without a well-thought-out charcuterie board. Indulge your taste buds in fancy meat and cheese. End your dinner with a cake slice or two.

There are many ways in which you and your partner can elevate your Valentine’s Day date night. Find the creativity to spice things up around the house. Despite these ideas, though, romance does not stop at fancy dinners. What can you do to keep your relationship strong during the quarantine period?

Romance Beyond Interiors

Changing up your home interiors for the upcoming Valentine’s Day is good, and all but romantic gestures do not always have to be grand. The simplest things can strengthen your relationship even during ordinary times.

Keeping your communication open during this difficult time can increase intimacy and closeness in your relationship. You don’t necessarily have to be talking about your sexual union. You can talk about current events and process what is happening around you so you two can discuss each other’s emotions and thoughts about these given situations.

Show your partner how much you are grateful for them. Showing appreciation for each other is always a good idea. It will bring a positive outlook to your relationship. Take the time to tell each other what you love about one another and be sincere about it.

Enjoy a new activity together. Perhaps you two can pick up a new and inexpensive hobby that you can easily do at home. Doing so can expand your knowledge of your partner’s habits, preferences, and even emotional tendencies when dealing with new fields of interest. This will allow you to get to know your partner on a deeper level, beyond the bounds of physical intimacy.

Trying out these simple acts of love can be rewarding, but you two should also keep in mind that having boundaries is still important despite living together. Allow each other time for self-care so that both of you can be in your best self whenever you are together.

Valentine’s Day is just one day in a full year. Keeping the romance alive is more than just flowers and chocolates. Make sure to get to know your partner on a deeper level so that your relationship can grow throughout the years, way beyond this difficult time.
